I want to know the author and publisher of the novella, 'The Jasmine Candle'. Its author is an African.

The hero of the story is Odole and the heroine is Zenobia. Other characters are Adesua, Daga and Yaw. It was most likely published by one of the following publishing houses; Heinemann, MacMillan or Longmann. It coulkd also be a book in the MacTracks Series or the African Writers' Series. There were two war-faring towns (villages) one of which was Dagabusi (I coulkd be wrong). Here are some key words that could help you answer my question: leopard, jasmine candle, northern kingdom, tribal marks. Finally, I must mention that the prologue described a war scene which resulted in the death of all the combatants save two people - a man and his nephew (or cousin). They agreed to make peace and sealed the agreement with different tribal marks to distinguish their respective people.
