What is the solution for the Indigenous people in Latin America?
What would you recommend? Do you know of any countries outside of Latin America that can be example to Latin America's indigenous problem
I'm not sure where you are coming from when asking if there is a solution for the indigenous people in Latin America?do you mean hat indigenous people are the problem, or that indigenous people have a problem' you don't id any particular country in Latin America? and you don't identify the people you refer to as indigenous. which tribe of humans occupying which territory at what particular time do you think is indigenous? since the beginning of recorded time, humans have been a highly nomadic animal. i think anthropologists believe humans originated in Africa and have been spreading over the globe ever since. this implies to me that we are all immigrants from Africa imposing ourselves on the indigenous non-human life of every country other than Africa, where i suppose we are indigenous. i have a wonderful book, The Times ATLAS OF WORLD HISTORY, which describes the evolution of the human species concurrent with their spread over the earth. centuries are shown with climate change and ever-evolving transportation modes influencing the movement of our specifies over the earth. perhaps when you refer to indigenous people, you refer to the hunters of the chaco savannah or the grassland steppe hunters? or maybe peoples of the north andean chiefdoms or central andean civilizations? or the savannah farmers? all of whom descended from tribes of mongolians migrating into mesoamerica mellinia ago. it is funny to note that europeons are referring to themselves as the indigenous people of the area they occupy, and are concerned with maintaining their cultural identity, not to mention social and political power, in light of increasing numbers of immigrants of non-European descent. and i think your question addresses perhaps the greatest problem of human kind. how does any group of people who have attained some level of homogeneity from whatever source, deal with new groups of people immigrating into "their territory" is it desirable for each group to maintain its separate identity and if so, how to do so while sharing fairly in the rights and responsibilities of the occupied land? or how to the disparate cultures merge and form a new people? i see no people of the planet successfully managing this problem. i very much doubt this answers your question, but i thought it might be useful to consider the universal issue.
